In the first part a lecture of the invited person will take place. In the second part guests will discuss on a presented topic. Very important will be to draw a conclusion connect-ed to an improvement of safe in a rail transport and security of passengers. The meeting will be preceded with a short presentation about security statistics regarded to a rail passengers transport in the European Union.
REPORT
The event „The Day of Transport Culture” at the University of Szczecin was successfull. The meeting was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services of University of Szczecin. Introduction to the issues of passenger safety and security in railway transport has been carried out by Prof. Elżbieta Załoga. Invited guests, who were director and expert of the Security Office of the Polish Railways, focused on the subject of passenger railway safety. Mr. Kurcz’s speech concerned the issues of safety in railway passenger transport while Ms. Kujacińska in her speech raised the issue of security in railway stations. The meeting was also attended by the students of the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services, Student Research Group of Transport and invited guests – representatives of the Polish Railways Przewozy Regionalne and the Statistical Office in Szczecin. The whole meeting was moderated by Prof. Tomasz Kwarciński.
